How Colin Calder and Jonathan Davies Founded CaSE

“Don’t be afraid to take a big step. You can’t cross a chasm in two small jumps.” - David Lloyd George

When CaSE was formed in 2017 by Colin Calder and Jonathan Davies, it was a bold move they both knew they had to take. The pair have been friends ever since they met at a project years ago and the rest is history.

The construction boom in Sydney was in its early stages. There was a need for skilled engineers and temporary works designers with a skill base in bridges and complex structures.

The first CaSE project in Australia was Grafton Bridge, a precast segmental 525m long crossing, working with Fulton Hogan. The experienced CaSE team assisted with the temporary works design and segment erection on site bringing the necessary experience to the project.

Fast forward to 2021, we now have a team of over 70 skilled personnel spreading across the globe to pass on their experience and skills to other projects. It's impressive to see how far we've come from a small company.

With Colin leading CaSE office in Sydney and Jonathan in Brisbane, the future of our company and its expansion is looking brighter than ever.
