10 Nov 2021

One of our CaSE team members in Brazil, Joakim Dupleix is highly regarded for his exceptional skills in structural projects.

As a Principal Engineer, Joakim finished his engineering studies in France and has spent most of his career in Australia and in Asia designing bridges and bridge construction equipment. Joakim joined CaSE earlier this year and it has been truly a pleasure to have him as part of the team.

What has been your proudest achievement?

"I like to be involved in different aspects of a project. On the Al Bustan North project in Qatar, I was fortunate to be involved in the precast segmental balanced cantilever bridge deck design as an advisor to the consultant, helping the contractor develop the best construction sequence and strategy and lead a design team for the design of the lifting frame to be used to suit the site conditions."

What is your favourite part about your job?

"I like solving problems as a team, finding out the best possible technical outcome. Besides, Structural Engineering is also so rewarding when you see the final product being erected."

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

"I enjoy travelling, discovering new cultures and sceneries. I am also a keen rugby fan and I practice a few surfing sports on water or on snow."
