Did You Know: The first self proclaimed Engineer was John Smeaton and he built the infamous Eddystone Lighthouse in England, an impressive structure on the Eddystone Rocks off Devon.
Some would argue that a number of impressive structures had been built for many centuries before, however it seems none had the title Engineer.
